Our Programs
-
Mi Bebé y Yo (prenatal workshops and support groups)
Mi Bebé y Yo empowers expectant parents through intentional prenatal workshops and support groups designed to nurture healthy families, build strong community connections and lay the foundation for lifelong wellbeing. By collaborating with trusted community partners, this program equips parents with practical knowledge about childbirth, child development, and parenting, while creating a supportive network of mothers, fathers and families.
-
Pasitos Playgroup
The goal of Pasitos is to prepare low-income, Latino parents to be effective first teachers of their children through weekly parent-child group meetings with stories, songs, and fine-motor activities. Research shows that the ability of parents to support their children's school readiness in developmentally appropriate ways is one of the most critical factors in how well that child will succeed in school and later in life. Pasitos focuses on giving parents of children 2-4 years old information and tools they need to prepare their child to enter school so they are ready to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
-
Libros Y Raíces (bilingual family literacy program)
Libros y Raíces (which translates to “books and roots” in English) instills the family value of reading, creating a love for reading and fostering each child’s reading literacy for longterm academic success. By providing families with tools, resources and hands-on activities that bring literacy to life, children adopt positive reading habits for life.
-
Childcare
We provide bilingual, engaging and developmentally appropriate care for children while their parents or guardians attend Corazón or adult education programming. Our curriculum is designed to improve each child's development and provide parents with the tools and resources to contribute to their child’s education. We aim to cover the five main areas of a child’s development: Cognitive, Social and Emotional, Speech and Language, Fine Motor Skills, and Gross Motor Skills to enhance student learning and to identify any early interventions.
-
FirstGen College Counseling
FirstGen provides one-on-one college and career counseling to first-generation college-bound students who aspire to be the first in their family to attend a four-year university. FirstGen supports students in selecting high school courses, preparing for required tests, applying for summer programs, planning for financial aid, writing personal statements and essays and attending college fairs. FirstGen also hosts parent workshops to inform and support parents on high school graduation requirements and the college-going process.
-
Parent support and advocacy
Our parents workshops equip parents with the essential tools to champion their children's success. Through interactive sessions, we provide the knowledge and confidence needed to navigate the educational landscape and advocate for their children and community.

Adult Education
Adult education courses are offered through Santa Rosa Junior College at the Healdsburg Community Center. Beginner ESL (English as a Second Language) and Computer classes are offered in the AM and PM with childcare available in the morning. By offering adult education courses in Healdsburg, we remove transportation barriers for families living in Northern Sonoma County.
